RESIDENTIAL:
- Federal Incentives: 30% of total system cost as an Investment Tax Credit
- State Incentive: 35% of total system cost as a State Tax Credit up to $10,500
- Power Premium from Utility: Georgia Power and many of the EMCs that service Georgia now offer incentives including a rebate for installing solar as well as paying a premium for the power generated.
COMMERCIAL:
- Federal Incentives: 30% of total system cost as a Grant or Investment Tax Credit
- State Incentive: 35% of total system cost as a Grant or State Tax Credit (this is subject to federal tax)
- MACRS Depreciation: Commercial customers can take advantage of accelerated 5 year depreciation for solar property. In the first year, you can depreciate approximately 32% of the basis of the property.
